I remember as a child I enjoyed playing board games with my family members. I liked playing monopoly, clue and life. I would play with my cousin, Alison or my sister. Back then of course, there was only one version of monopoly.
We would sit around a table which contained the game pieces, dice, fake money etc. Then we would commence playing. We spent many enjoyable nights or afternoons playing these games.
I also enjoyed playing certain card games; Gin Rummy, Rook and Uno to name a few. My parents enjoyed playing games and having friends over. When my sister and I grew old enough, we were invited to play too. We felt so grown up. These for some reason remain some of my favorite memories. Possibly because they occurred before my mothers mental issues. When Mom was okay. I continued enjoying to play Gin Rummy with my mother when she was lucid. (except she always won.)
Nowadays, many people play these games, only now they play them online. Many websites such as; Pogo.com and Facebook offer versions of these well known games. There are many versions of the boardgame, Monopoly such as; Disney, World, Holiday which are still sold. I admit that I still play these games online. Only now we do not lose the pieces or the dice.
